This is a beautiful lake in Swabia, Bavaria with the majestic Alps in the background. Located close to Füssen (just 5 km away), this lake offers beautiful panaromic views with a lovely lakeside promenade ideal for spending a relaxing day. The promenade area has restaurants and cafes where tourists can enjoy the scenery while sipping some coffee. There is also a circular hiking trail around Hopfensee for people to walk along the lake or cycle around the region.
It is better to take a car if you are travelling from Fussen or nearby locations since the public transport to this lake not a very convenient option. Car parking is available just next to the promenade area but gets quickly filled on a bright sunny day.

Lechfall is a natural waterfall about 1 km from Fussen town close to the Austria border. The water plunges over five large steps making this a beautiful spectacle. Below the waterfall is the Lech Gorge which was carved by the Lech river. There is no entry fee here. You can park your car at the parking along the road near the waterfalls but very limited spots are available.

Maspalomas is a lively resort area on the south coast of the island known for the vast sand dunes and its famous landmark, the Maspalomas Lighthouse. It also has lovely beaches and a long promenade lined with restaurants and shops. Also, goes without saying that you can't miss the beautiful sunsets over the vast ocean- it's an absolutely surreal experience 🙂
Faro de Maspalomas: This famous landmark of Maspalomas is situated at one end of the Maspalomas beach and next to the Maspalomas Dunes.
Maspalomas Dunes: This vast area of sand dunes stretches from Faro de Maspalomas to Playa del Ingles along the ocean creating a unique landscape in this island. If you want to spend some quality time with yourself, take a walk along these dunes and at one point you will see nothing except a mini desert and the blue ocean! But be careful and don't get lost!

Local language: It will be useful if you learn some basic Spanish phrases before your trip - helps to make your interaction with locals easier.
Weather: Weather is mostly temperate, so pack your clothes accordingly. Also dont forget to carry your hat, sunglasses and lots of sunscreen!
Base location: Pick a suitable base from where you can travel to different parts of the island. There is no right or wrong- I stayed in Maspalomas and thoroughly enjoyed the vibe of the place and its lovely beaches.
